Far West Capital is seeking a new Business Development Officer to join the El Paso team.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with current and prospective commercial clients to collect and discuss each client’s information, financing needs, and objectives
- Gathering information about current and prospective clients for further evaluation
- Analyzing information collected from current and prospective clients to develop advice, strategies, and recommendations for each client
- Providing individualized advice and recommendations to current or prospective clients regarding the financing opportunities offered by Far West Capital (this includes explaining and discussing with clients the advantages and disadvantages of financial options)
- Being visible to the public to attract, meet, and retain potential new clients and to explain and promote services offered by Far West Capital
- Developing business by contacting or networking with current or prospective clients and by developing and maintaining relationships with sources of leads and referrals
- Making in-person calls to current or prospective clients
- Attending social functions with potential sources of referrals and leads
- Staying informed about market trends and products to help match products with client needs
- Making presentations at trade associations, seminars, and other gatherings where current and prospective clients participate
- Comparing, evaluating, and choosing between possible courses of conduct and providing advice to clients regarding factoring services best-suited to the client’s specific needs, goals, and risk tolerance
- Servicing existing clients and engaging in efforts to retain their business
- Planning for sales calls, including determining which clients or prospective clients to visit with, and the degree and frequency of visits
- Assisting in the administrative handling of accounts and proposal recommendations
Other Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 2-5 years of sales experience
