Focus On Your Beliefs

“The thing always happens that you really believe in, and the belief in a thing makes it happen.” – Frank Lloyd Wright

FocusRemaining both focused and attentive are two key factors in obtaining happy clients and achieving clean deals. Doing so helps to keep your eye on the desired outcome and your aim at the goal of perfection, which can be truly vital to your success.  Oftentimes, we find ourselves focusing on the negative outcomes – on what we don’t want.  It’s much easier to concentrate on these elements rather than the positive, on the outcome we actually want.

It requires mental discipline to focus on the “wanted” versus the “unwanted,” and it simply takes practice to get it right.  When keeping your eye on the end result, you are mentally telling yourself to focus on what is needed rather than what is not needed. Any situation that gives you an uneasy or “unwanted” feeling is really just an opportunity for you to refocus on the big picture – what is your end goal and how are you going to get there?

Here, at Far West Capital, we strive to look ahead and stay focused on the best outcome for your business, as well as our own. Just as the old saying goes, “If you want to get rid of the weeds, focus on growing healthy grass, not on pulling out the weeds.” This same thought process applies to how we help your business to grow. We discipline ourselves and focus on the importance of what is needed rather than what is not needed. We don’t let the “unwanted” stand in our way of what you truly want. We focus on understanding each of our client’s needs so that your goals can become our goals.

Whenever you find yourself losing track of your desired outcome, try asking yourself these three questions:

  1. What do you want in client relationships?
  2. What do you want in team relationships?
  3. What do you want in your career life?

If your current beliefs don’t support your end goals, change them to refocus on what you want. Don’t think of this as a problem, think of it as a further opportunity to strengthen your desired outcome. Focus on your beliefs, and be the change you wish to see. Your company will grow much stronger, and you will be one step closer to achieving your goal of perfection.
